Astralcircle asked to store env_fog_controller params in the client savetable; render.GetFog* can be overwritten.
In #next-update, Redox asked again: "while you're in sqlite, can we get vacuum".
Astralcircle's merged Wiremod PR replaces Player:ConCommand with WireLib.SetConvar everywhere except E2's concmd().
Shortly before, in #developer-talk, Redox showed that tools passing strings to ConCommand let players inject console commands, with Wiremod's textscreen as an example, and called it "exploit week".
BREEDNKMs asked to allow m_hStoredPathTarget in SetSaveValue to replicate SetGoal-style navigation. robotboy655: "Done." (commit b9fc35).
FoxProfef reported that SetupDataTables runs before OnEntityCreated on a Linux server.
artemking4 explained on the hardware skinning request that the third weight can be inferred in the vertex shader, so the engine expects at most 2 stored weights. In #next-update he called it "very important" for the shader folks; march noted that means 3 weights work.
ArtyomChyornyj2035 reported crashes at an identical client.dll address. robotboy655 said it looks related to a particle system with a C_OP_WorldTraceConstraint constraint tracing against a ragdoll, which nobody could reproduce before; a reproduction is needed.
plally reported that file.AsyncRead never calls back for a missing file. robotboy655: not a bug, check the return value.
MagentaIris reported that barnacles grab players without pulling them. Niikbb confirmed it on dev and x86-64; BREEDNKMs saw it without mods. Fixed on 19 October (commit 280e7a).

wrefgtzweve suggested that a per-player max networking range could be done by checking distance in CServerGameEnts::CheckTransmit before IsInPVS.
In #next-update, Redox asked Rubat for it before the next update, saying it allows a big client FPS and server tick boost; Astralcircle said his server already uses a PVS-culling client fog and called it a lifesaver for open maps. Nykez asked how it plays with pop-in.
wrefgtzweve asked to improve the ERROR_HANDLE_EOF when reading file warning, which doesn't say which file fails. robotboy655 said he'd try to get the path via the Win32 API; commit aa4090 tries to add it.
wrefgtzweve reported that NPCs measure melee distance to an object's center rather than its OBB, so large objects make melee NPCs such as antlions just stand around.
NovaDiablox asked to unbind F8 by default. robotboy655 declined: loading shouldn't boot you from the session; the engine wrongly checked mountable games for the "quick" save file. Commit bb557c fixes it.
Akabenko wrote on his request to add the 3D skybox to SSAO_DepthPass that a stencil is needed, because the game world is expected to always render on top of the 3D skybox.
Earu reported that a brush model with an $alphatest material leaks render state, so materials without $basetexture (vgui/white, surface.DrawRect, fonts) stop rendering. He provided a map for robotboy655; the issue was closed as completed the same day.
drobotk's PR makes ENT:StoreOutput treat times=0 like times=-1, matching engine entities. Merged on 15 October (commit bb557c).
